Leveraging the power of an interconnected city

This fall, the New York City Economic Development Corporation together with its partner New York International will hold a second iteration of the program with a focus on Smart & Sustainable Cities

New York City is setting the stage for urban efficiency, sustainability and innovation. Through a competitive selection process, the World to NYC – Global Industry Challenge program will bring the most promising companies from around the world to NYC to present their solutions in the context of continuous urbanization and its economic opportunities for New York City’s citizens, businesses, and beyond.

During the three-day event, visiting companies will connect with other tech entrepreneurs, investors, academic institutions, community groups, government agencies, energy providers, and large corporations and explore the latest industry trends.

Participants will engage in fireside chats and roundtable discussions with local founders and CEOs, company site visits, tours, and community events. Delegates will have plenty of opportunities to present and pitch their companies and pick up valuable advice on how to make it in NYC – personally as well as on a business level. In addition to this, participants will gain practical insights on expanding business operations in the US (tax, legal, accounting, immigration, staffing, etc.) through interactive discussions and workshops.

The three-day program will be made up of a series of site visits, Q&A sessions, pitch opportunities and roundtable discussions.
